Jõesuu, Rõngu, Otepää, Pühajärve, Kääriku, Harimäe vol. 1

I undertook the longest tour this fall. Maybe there will be more of them, but this ride is the longest so far. My main wish was to go to Otepää, but I added several more places there.

The drive started early in the morning along the Tallinn-Tartu highway. I used this road until Põltsamaa. From there, I started shortcutting a bit to reach the first destination, Rõngu. I made my way through Kolga-Jaani (or rather past Kolga-Jaani), Leie, Jõesuu, Rannu and Valguta. In the meantime, there was a small stop at Jõesuu by Lake Võrtsjärv.

When I had rested a little and taken pictures, the drive continued towards Rõngu. The first place of interest was Rõngu fortress. The view of the fortress is nicely cleared of bushes and the sight is absolutely good. The park around the fortress is also well maintained. I took pictures of both the fortress and the park.

The road then led to the center of Rõngu. The first place was a shop there, where delicious “Rõngu Pagar” bakery products are sold. For those who haven’t been there, I definitely recommend. Some products can also be purchased from retail chains, but not all.

After I had been to the store, I started taking pictures. First in the same center, then at the church, later at the singing stage.

The next stop on the way was Otepää. First to the church, then to the central square. After that, outside Otepää to Tehvandi ski jump hill and then to Pühajärve.

The church, stone circle, fortress, winter church and Jakob Hurt’s monument were captured in pictures near the church. I also took some pictures of nature.

The drone also got to go flying.
